Skanda Shashti
Skanda Shashti is the brithday of God Subrahmanya who is the younger brother of Ganesha. It is on the 6th lunar day of Karthika month.

Karthika Purnima
This months' full moon day, Karthika Purnima, is a special festival for all Hindu Women. They fast whole day, and worshipping Goddess Parvati for the welfare of herself and her entire family.

Sant Gnyaneshwar

Sant Gnyaneshwar (1275-1296) was a 13th century saint-poet in Maharashtra, India. He was the first noteworthy proponent of Bhagawat dharma, a sect of bhakti (devotional worship) tradition in Hinduism. He composed Bhaavaartha deepika or Dnyaneshwari, to explain sacred knowledge of the holy book ‘Bhagavad Gita’ to the masses.

Sant Dnyaneshwar’s writing is a combination of scholarly intelligence and poetic beauty. He along with Sant Namdeo propogated the warkari tradition that has beem alive for over 700 years.

His philosophical genius can be seen in Dnyaneshwari, a commentary on the Bhagavad Gita written in Marathi. He also composed nearly a thousand devotional songs (Abhanga). The Amritanubhava, is the work in which he has stated his own philosophy, also called Chitvilaasavaada.
